Peter brings more than 20 years of brand marketing communications and entrepreneurial experience to MicroArts Creative Agency. He was instrumental in growing MicroArts from a three-person team to an eighty-employee agency and facilitated MicroArts' acquisition in 2000 by a public corporation. (MicroArts has since been reacquired and is once again privately held).
With boundless energy, Peter motivates and enables the entire MicroArts team to achieve the extraordinary. His primary responsibility is brand positioning and product-launch strategy; his goal is to provide the highest level of this service to a small number of select clients.
In addition to being the chief creative at MicroArts, Peter is a principal shareholder and partner in 16 fast-growing companiesspecializing in a diverse range of industries, including iPhone lifestyle software, personalized cancer strategies services, hip iPod accessories, resort real estate development, data centers, a destination health care website, a footwear brand, a popular handbag brand and commercial real estate. His sole responsibility as a partner in these companies is laser focused on leading MicroArts to create the big idea that drives new revenues.
Peter has presided over 300 brand launches over the past 20 years. He likes to say his passion is "taking the horse in third place to win a two-horse race."
Outside of the agency, Peter is skiing, no doubt about it. His personal slogan is "Live life now."
Karen has been championing the cause of her clients for over 15 years. As an agency veteran, she has helped companies craft and implement business changing marketing communications strategies in a broad range of disciplines. She has successfully guided her clients through the details of creating new brands, websites, user interfaces, e-commerce applications, customer experience strategies, branded environments, merchandising systems, and internet marketing programs.
As a true client advocate, Karen is proactive in establishing measurable program objectives, keeping the voice of the final customer at the forefront, and mitigating any potential obstacles to success.
Karen graduated with honors from University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business & Economics.
When not working, she can usually be found traveling, honing her skills as an amateur landscaper, or taking chances with power tools.
Ann Marie Niswender started with MicroArts in May 1995 as Finance Assistant. She quickly worked her way up to Finance Manager and then to Controller when a publicly held company purchased the company in 2001.
As primary accounting and finance person Ann Marie was instrumental in both the acquisition and buy-back of MicroArts. MicroArts had been through many organizational and accounting changes, which has been an excellent learning experience.
Ann Marie managed the accounting department for MicroArts when it was a publicly held company and now handles every aspect of the accounting and operations for the company.
Prior to joining MicroArts, DJ was a founding partner of Lightfin Studios where he was responsible for account management and client strategies for the company. DJ brings over 10 years of project management and consultation experience to MicroArts. During his career he has worked with startups to Fortune 500 companies to create and execute strategies that help grow their online presence. DJ holds a Master's Degree of Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration also from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to starting Lightfin Studios, DJ was a member of the Professional Services team at PixelMEDIA, and Onsite Services Consultant at Bottomline Technologies.
When not at work, DJ can be found listening to podcasts, watching Kentucky basketball with his wife Jessica, jumping on their trampoline with his step-daughter Mackenzie and walking his dog Harrelson.
Geoff brings a passion for writing to MicroArts that has its roots in journalism. Geoff spent 10 years as an award-winning writer/photographer covering politics, business, entertainment, education, breaking news and more. He is known for his willingness to do anything to understand a subject, which is why he's experienced a 6G dive in an aerobatic plane and nearly taken a beating from a Hells Angel.
Geoff graduated from Brandeis University where he obtained B.A. degrees in Political Science and English while being a top performer on the track/cross-country team.
When he isn't trying to consume as much information as possible to turn into "pretty words", Geoff can be found running up mountains or competing in snowshoe races with an adventure racing team. He spends a bit too much time cutting up old science books turning them into intricate collages.
Jamila Lasante has more than eleven years of marketing and communications experience. As an Account Manager with MicroArts she takes the clients' interests to heart and their goals and objectives to task. Active in the local community, she has volunteered with non-profit organizations such as the United Way of the Greater Seacoast and the New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility, and is currently Marketing & Communications Chair for Catapult, the Seacoast's Young Professional Networking Group.
Jamila has made the Seacoast her home since graduating with a B.A. in Communications from the University of New Hampshire. She currently lives in North Hampton with her husband Kevin and their pug, Spyderman, and enjoys working on her fashion blog Sweatpantsandheels.com when she has free time.
Blythe's role at MicroArts is focused on all aspects of design. She brings an energetic creative through many mediums of design, including high-impact graphics. Blythe works closely with our Art Director to expand our design diversity and bring new concepts to our clients. Design is something Blythe has been passionate about her whole life ranging from fine arts to digitally created pieces.
Blythe graduated from Endicott College with a degree in Visual Communications/Graphic Design. She has spent time working in a variety of environments from building & architecture to outerwear for skiing and snowboarding. She gained valuable design experience working as a designer for a Massachusetts agency, working on a large array of design projects
When Blythe isn't designing on her computer she enjoys painting, cooking and baking. She can also be found skiing, playing soccer or tennis and traveling whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Prior to joining the team at MicroArts, Sam was a founding partner of Lightfin Studios in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. At Lightfin, Sam was responsible for front-end development, search engine optimization as well as making sure all of the computers kept running. Sam enjoys working closely with team members throughout the entire process of website design and development and loves a great brainstorming session to work through a tough challenge. When it comes to actually writing code, Sam enjoys keeping up on the latest trends and finding new ways to make Internet Explorer play nice with the rest of the kids.
When Sam isn't writing code that even IE6 falls in love with, he can be found brewing another cup of coffee at the Keurig, chasing two psychotic Boston Terriers around his house, playing golf, reading non-fiction or reluctantly agreeing to add yet another romantic comedy to his Netflix queue.
Known as the "World's Only Human Firebug", Michaleen began working for MicroArts as a freelance developer four years ago. After testing the waters with freelance, she signed on to join the MicroArts technical team.
Michaleen got her internet feet wet back in the early 90s when working on a New Hampshire Primary site for the University of New Hampshire's Communications Department. Amazed at how the typings of HTML could transform mere letters into hyperactivity ... she was hooked. At MicroArts, Michaleen loves working directly with clients ... easing their anxiety about all things web.
When not working (which is not all that often) Michaleen enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughter (and future programmer) Alison ... watching (or listening to) the Red Sox ... gardening ... you know, generally enjoying life. Favorite hobby: Finding typos in children's literature.
Dave is a graphic designer with over eight years of experience. Dave enjoys working in Photoshop and Illustrator and has a passion for all aspects of design. Prior to MicroArts, Dave worked at Lightfin Studios in Portsmouth and before that he spent a few years working with the apparel designers at Reebok International.
Dave graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English and furthered his education over the years by taking courses in all aspects of design. When Dave is not working he is usually following one of his favorite sports teams or spending time with his wife Stephanie and their dog Charley.
Kara first began her career as an intern at MicroArts where she quickly learned what it means to be a part of a professional team. She brings a passion for design, illustration, and media to the creative environment. Having grown up with a love of technology and pop culture Kara is excited about the future of motion graphics and the digital experience.
Kara graduated from Keene State College with a BFA in Graphic Design. While at KSC Kara worked under tight deadlines drawing weekly editorial illustrations for the student newspaper and collaborating on multimedia projects. She craves all things Adobe and values a good sense of humor. When she is not glued to her Mac, Kara spends her time dancing in a local dance troupe, relaxing on the beach, and doodling on every surface in sightmaking sure to leave time for her favorite TV shows.
Sean Reusch was a founding partner and Creative Director at Lightfin Studios before joining the MicroArts team. He is an award winning designer with over 12 years of experience in web, animation, UI and print design. Sean is also tenured information architect who excels in creating successful online experiences with a focus on usability. Prior to starting Lightfin, Sean was a senior visual designer and information architect at PixelMEDIA, Inc. where he was responsible for the structural arrangement and visual aesthetics of some of the company's largest accounts. Prior to working at PixelMEDIA, Sean worked as a freelance designer and independent artists (post modern abstract painter) working from his home studio.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Montserrat College of Art and continues to improve upon his education as new and emerging technologies become available.
When Sean isn't buried in Photoshop he can usually be found in his studio painting or off shooting with his camera. However, sometimes even he needs a break from the creative process and that's when you'll likely find him fishing, skiing or just chilling at the beach.
Adam first began his career as a marketing agent at Nevado Mountain Adventures where he was responsible for promoting and educating participants, ski area employees and retail management about the Nevado line of new technologies and equipment available on the market. Working with big names in the outdoor industry to brand new concepts, Adam promoted products for GoPro, Native, Rossignol, Keen and more.
After Nevado, Adam started his internet marketing career as a web strategist at Lightfin Studios where he was responsible for managing a variety of SEO projects for small and medium-sized companies. With over two years of experience in search engine marketing, search engine optimization and website analytics, Adam custom-tailored specific SEO strategies and website analytic reports to help meet each clients evolving online business objectives.
In 2011 Adam earned a BA degree from the University of New Hampshire in Communications and Business Administration. Adam enjoys all things sports and when he's not in office, or making routine ground ball errors on the baseball field, you are likely to find him shredding the gnar on his skis or snowboard.
Devon brings energy, humor, and a passion for helping others to the MicroArts team. He loves generating creative content, and has a desire to re-imagine the way digital marketing reaches its audiences.
Growing up in California, Devon's career began at 19, when a self-produced album scored him a job as a recording engineer in a notorious Los Angeles studio. There, he became the studio's go-to producer for acts signed to major labels. Ultimately, his success allowed him to achieve one of his lifelong goals of opening his own private recording studio.
While running his studio, Devon earned a BA in English with a focus on Creative Writing, graduating magna cum laude. Outside of school, he consulted for a variety of marketing, social media and design agencies, and wrote award-winning copy (including receiving How Magazine's "Best In Show" 2008). Upon graduation, Devon took a position helping shape the culture, marketing, social media and support for Twitter-founder Jack Dorsey's revolutionary startup, Square.
When he isn't working, Devon likes to read and write weird stories, and still spends most of his free time recording music.
As Social Media Specialist, Guillaume brings to Microarts a commitment to utilize the full range of social media to engage with clients and customers in the most profound way possible. Whether it's Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, or Google+, his ultimate goal is to enable genuine and honest conversations about what customers really want. As new media platforms continue to evolve, his aim is to keep Microarts on the cutting edge by making the most effective use of those emerging technologies.
After graduating from UNH in 2008 with a BA in philosophy, he went on to work for a Cambridge-based serial entrepreneur, getting a crash business course in anything from early stage tech start-ups to the innerworkings of large pharmaceuticals. During that time he also received a Masters in political philosophy, writing his thesis on Tocqueville's "Democracy in America."
While not working Guillaume likes to attempt really early morning runs, open water swims, and on occasion, "philosophizing."
Jeselyn joins MicroArts after spending 5 years at a NH based experiential agency. Jeselyn (who goes by Jes) brings her experience in retail, pop-up retail, sampling, sports marketing partnership and sponsorship, branded environments, rewards based marketing, guerilla marketing, web site development and management to our team.
In addition to her experience in planning and logistics, Jes has a creative side. She has a BS from SNHU where she majored in Advertising and minored in Marketing. During her time working at the SNHU AdLab, she composed radio scripts, storyboards and print ads for many non-profit organizations, including the American Red Cross.
When Jes isn't working, she's always on the lookout for something new. Whether it's a non-fiction book to read, movie to watch, recipe to create a healthier version of, or city to plan a weekend road trip to, she believes variety is truly the spice of life.
With more than 5 years of experience in Marketing, PR and research, Amanda has spent much of her career tapping into media trends and consumer behaviors for clients in the CPG, airline, retail, athletic apparel, consumer electronics and financial service arenas. Her passion for marketing and strategy was solidified when she managed a retail store and saw the importance and effectiveness of her branding cues and tactical visual executions.
Amanda holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of New Hampshire and is a member of the American Marketing Association, Coastal Athletic Association, and Catapult Seacoast.
Her love of coastal New Hampshire is rivaled only by her love for her dog, Islington (whom you may call "Izzy" for short).
