RSS is a technology that allows internet users to have information delivered to them automatically instead of searching for it. It's a technology that has a variety of uses. Here are a few examples: delivery of radio and television programs to iPods® , transmission of sports scores to cell phones and even automatically updating your clients with new information about your company or product. RSS is a lot like email, except in this case you get email from websites instead of from people. Here's how it works: RSS is provided by websites in the form of a feed. RSS users read feeds by adding them to software called RSS Readers. Then, website operators update their feeds and RSS Readers automatically display the new information to the user. Imagine having an RSS feed for every website you use on a regular basis. You could just check your RSS Reader instead of having to check all those websites for the information you are looking for! And today, this is a reality. Millions of websites use RSS and millions more are using RSS Readers to stay up to date on the new information those websites have to offer. So, does your website have RSS? Shouldn't you be offering the benefits of RSS to your clients and potential customers? MicroArts can make this happen. Subscribe to the MicroArts RSS feed to learn more! |
